Although some members would like to think that Mods run around banning people it is actually pretty difficult to get banned unless you really want to.
These are the conditions that will cause a ban.
Repeatedly breaking these rules:

1. There will be no add requests outside of the Add me / Join my mob! (http://forum.mobstersapp.com/forumdisplay.php?f=3) forum. This is a link on how to make a quick link. (http://forum.mobstersapp.com/showthread.php?t=1318) This includes looking for an organized mobs to add you. There will be no warning, the post will be deleted. It will be left up to the discretion of the moderator whether you receive a notification, warning, or an infraction. Continued abuse will result in the deletion of all your posts in the add forum and possible banishment, the length of the ban will be determined on a case by case basis.
2. Add requests are only allowed within the message body in the Add me / Join my mob! (http://forum.mobstersapp.com/forumdisplay.php?f=3) forum, but are allowed within signatures everywhere.
3. No tolerance for anything that is racist, sexist, homophobic, generally hateful, or threatening. "Banter" can be distinguished from actual "abuse", in that friendly banter does not lead any party involved, including outside viewers, to construe the message as racist, sexist, etc. Foul language, to an extent, is acceptable; but not in an attacking or derogatory manner. Otherwise, if there is any doubt at all, the offending post will be either censored or deleted and the user warned. If the misbehaver continues a ban may be in order.
4. No nudity, no overtly sexually provocative images or speech, and no hate symbols of any kind. The moderator will decide what constitutes this.
5. Please use the search (http://forum.mobstersapp.com/search.php) or tag search (http://forum.mobstersapp.com/tags.php) before posting. Chances are a thread or post already exists. If you can't find what you need then feel free to post.
6. When making a new thread place it in an appropriate forum, and use a descriptive title. Thread locations and titles may be changed by the staff to more accurately reflect the topic being discussed.
7. When making a new post please try to remain on topic. Posts may be moved or deleted without warning to keep the thread on topic. Posting a "fail" reply, text or image, as well as thread bumps outside of the add forum are considered spam; as they don't add anything useful to the thread. Similarly, having a chat box on the forum is not only redundant to the propose of the forum, but would rarely be on topic to the thread.
8. If you make repeated nearly identical posts they will be deleted.
9. Please try to keep the use of caps, font, and font size reasonable with what you write.
10. The Godfather has asked that we limit drug references due to Myspace rules involving applications. Drinking and smoking are not affected by this.
11. Please do not reply to misplaced add requests or spam. Report the post using the report post button http://forum.mobstersapp.com/images/buttons/report.gif
12. This forum isn't for advertising or referral links, that includes other web games and sites not supported by this forum. If you want adds for the supported games then leave a link to your MySpace in the appropriate location for people to add you.
13. The moderators here have no control over the development or running of the application. They can not stop anyone from harassing you in the game.
14. No posting cash cows. If you want to broadcast them to your mob that is up to you, but that is not what this forum is for.
15. No posts requesting for you or anyone else to be hit listed, punched, or attacked. You may place an "Attack Me" link in your signature.
16. Members are strongly discouraged from attacking, punching, or hit listing their fellow members; and then posting in the forum about it. If there are violations of the rules, members need not dole out punishment themselves, you can report the post with the http://forum.mobstersapp.com/images/buttons/report.gif (report post) button. The moderator will handle it from there.
17. The content used in signatures should not be derogatory or seemingly derogatory, false, nor promote bots, macros and the like. The staff may remove any and/or all content of the signature, if believed to have the possibility of being in violation of any of the rules.
18. Bots, macros, auto-clickers, and the like are considered cheating. All links, URLs, mention of, and/or asking how to obtain such programs and/or devices may be subject to deletion. Similarly, talk about your personal use of such items isn't allowed either. This also includes links to sites that may indirectly promote such programs. Intentional promotion of such things is subject to disciplinary action.
19. The posting or use of knowingly false or vague information in a perceived attempt to deceive others is not allowed. This is not to be confused with asking a question about rumors you have heard in an attempt see if they are true.

You will be warned (yellow card) initially, then infracted (red card) if you do not heed the warnings. If you start bashing the mods in the open forum, you will be infracted again. If you continue you will be banned. If you contact the moderators and put your case before us then we will try to come to some agreement. Often times once we know that you understand the rules and are willing to follow them then we will reverse the infraction or warning.
If you have more than 70 or so posts you should know the rules. POSTING ADD LINKS OUTSIDE OF THE ADD REQUEST SUBFORUM will likely result in a red card.

*Sexually suggestive images.*
*Extreme use of explicit language in an attempt to bully or intimidate members or staff. *
*Use of bots to spam the board including but not limited to add request bots.*
*Sexually explicit or suggestive (implied or otherwise) posts.
*Racist remarks or name calling.*
*Threats of rape, sexual molestation, death (outside of the Mobsters app), real life property damage, or real life injury to members, members friends or family.*
*Other infractions that are not listed here but fall into the same category*
THESE MAY RESULT IN INSTANT BANS!
*Posting of any porn images/links.*
*Sexual threats of any type*
Each situation is handled on a case by case basis and not all may result in bans. Calm discussion with moderators may result in reversal of infraction if we see fit.
