Yeah, I've been noticing the downward trend, but this new one was a leap off a cliff. The dynamics of the game have turned rather dull and strategy has gone out the window, probably the reason Paper quit. When your person who royally screwed up their stat distribution can beat someone who spent time and logic into their placement of skill points, then something is wrong. Now I'm not saying a person who beats Papermaker didn't allocate their points well, but I'm talking about your average player. When it doesn't matter what your defense is because a sloppy player can beat you, then any kind of strategy with defense, except for all points into it and nothing else (not even health), is gone. With Top Mob, people will not really want to put points into energy anymore. So we've been kind of left with 3 options, stamina, health, and attack, that are actually effective in the game as it stands. Major changes do need to be made to bring back some kind of defensive strategy into the game again.

The downside is that this thread went to hell due to the animosity driven about rich vs poor. Not only is that troublesome as hell, but very unnecessary. The age old war will alwasy be there though, as complaints of "Mobsters caters to the rich" or "Mobsters caters to the poor" will be made. Hell, include a possibility that the Godfather will make another avatar item meant for defense to about the same parameters as the effect of The Annihilator, but pretty much like a polar opposite. Then you'll have complaints about the riders AGAIN. See? perfect example of this age old war that will never stop.

Now, I understand that some will invest in the game, some more than others, which can be respected as it is their money and they should be able to do as they please. However, as I mentioned about the subject of rich vs poor, that conflict will always exist as long as parameters exist that allow it, however, it is much too late to alter that as we speak. I will even admit that I only play for fun simply due to the fact that the competition is way too troublesome, the animosity is a real drag, and the 'tech witch'(bot) hunts/wars are just a real drag.

Games are troublesome like that, once you begin to master them, an update will pop up and possibly change things, some can adapt, some can't. In this case, it went from everyone was learning in the beginning, to then taking the sides of attacker and defenders (or hunters and riders), then to now, at basically attacker frenzy. The rich is nailed hard of course due to being unable to revoke any changes statwise they made, hence one of many reasons of frustrations.

In other words, I understand your plight Stretch, as well as your frustrations, but you are on a fine line of going too far with the using your rich status to bash those inferior to you in financial means. Not only is it unnecessary, but many will scoff at your point, as well as commence fuel for arguments, which then lead to making forum threads useless and either subject to deletion or the lock of death. You've made your point, but you shouldn't let your anger and frustrations get the best of you, despite it being hard and very troublesome in not resisting such.

Papermaker influences people to try to be the best.

The backup killer (high income) influences people to reach high income.
