Firstly, let me state loud and clear that this post is in no way a whine. I just want to canvas opinion as to what you would do in the following situation.
Last month I was involved in a war in which I listed a person seven times for punching me. He was sticking up for a mob friend. The original enemies soon truced, but this guy informed me that he would only be happy when he returned the 7 deaths.
So for the last month, it has been the same thing everyday. He logs on lists me, logs off and I am able to kill him once in return. It is clear he no longer plays the game, and his only motivation for logging in is to kill me. He does not get the logic that if he kills me, I will kill him and thus he would never get his 7 deaths over me.
I have tried staying dead on the profile, and he will kill one of my others and then I kill him again.
Now I DO NOT CARE ABOUT DEATHS, but it seems a waste of my cash to keep listing him everyday as he is 5b to list, especially when he is really no longer a player.
However my nature is not to show weakness and let him get those 7 deaths, even if it means that I am basically abandoning the account he is listing as to keep listing him back means I can not build on my own bounty, (nearly 5b).
So what would you do? Would you continue or would you show maturity and walk away..ignoring his listings and getting on with the game?
There is no use talking to him, as he is at best immature, and at worst mentally unstable. However I have tried to make sure that he is not under the impression he is bothering me.
I will finish by reminding people that this is not a whine, just a question lol?

Attack & punch kill him. If he lists you and logs off, no reason to waste your money on him, just badge him.

Hmm, yeah that is touchy. I myself would probably not back down, just because I don't like giving those types of people a 1up. I am like that on other games too. But if you want to just let it go by and be done with it, I would just let him get those 7 and be gone. Of course, he could take more than supposed to, and then quit the game. Which would probably piss you off pretty bad at that point.

I got a similar situation, I got someone on my level 509 that logs in, attacked me until he's in the hospital, I kill him, he is logged out, and he'll repeat it again later in the day or whenever... it's officially at 3400 attacks from him. It's really annoying, but unfortunately, it's part of the game.

I would just leave him a comment, or on your own page if he blocked you, stating that you dont care if he kills you. I had to do that a couple of times months ago and eventually the person got tired of me not killing or punching me back. I think he killed me like 75x before he finally gave up.

But this particular situation sounds to be out of revenge, not annoyance. He wants to get revenge to satisfy himself. Not to annoy her.

although i admit this would be time consuming... i would say create a new account... in about two weeks of saving energy you should have enough to get a couple battle hardened capo using missions... put ALL your stat points into stamina and use missions to level... do badge mission and battle hardened capo missions ONLY when they become available... you'll have one great punching account to kill him daily with... you're biggest problem will be recruiting... but between the forum and certain sites i won't mention that's not a huge problem..

Yeah I think that is the perfect summary of his thought process.
Alas he is too low to attack as he has not attacked me, I have attacked and badged from a lower account, but again a waste of a badge.
Somedays it is amusing, as his hatred and need for revenge must be so all consuming.
The only way I could see for a compromise was to continue it till I get him to 100 deaths, (he is at 88 now), and then walk away as an act of maturity lol. If he goes past the 7, then I will revise that plan lol.

Me? I'd just keep killing him OR I'd let him get his seven kills and be done with him. It would largely depend on my mood, but if you care enough to start a thread whining about it ( :D ) then you should just give him the seven deaths.
That's not weakness, thats strategy cause your lose count goes up from the listings (as well as your death count) while your wins don't go up and your bank account goes down. It's pragmatic

Well if you a.) don't want to waste badges (which are fairly trivial to get), nor b.) want to waste money, then your options are fairly limited then. I personally wouldn't let it go because there's no indication that he'll stop or not. What happens when you stop and he doesn't? Now you're behind on killing his ass and he'll probably continue, like I would, to do it because it seems like he could just walk over you. If the only use for the account is to list you, I see why not.

I must admit, this tends to appeal to my stubborness. If someone is so set on revenge, the joy of thinking he "has beat me" will be a delight to him.
This is why the stubborn voice in my head tells me to continue till they end the game. The mature side tells me to walk away lol.

I don't know if there is a mature side to this. You can't combat grudges with maturity because the grudge will win, while the maturity thinks it wins. It's all ego, however to this game, the grudge technically wins.

I think I was thinking out aloud with the rest of the forum. I will be honest, and I wonder if anyone else has felt like this. No matter how badass you act, or play the "I dont care about deaths", some people just annoy you without trying. It is like in real life when you work with someone you dont like, the mere sight of their face/avatar just annoys you lol.

it's the battle of the stubbornness. i would just let him have his little 7 deaths and waste his own money. even if he goes over the 7, if deaths don't matter to you, then who cares right?
if he was killing you constantly while you were trying to hunt that would be one thing, but one listing and he goes away, meh, no big deal.
he might even go away once he thinks you have moved on. as long as you do things that make him think he's still getting to you(i.e. responding to him in any way whatsoever), he will keep it up.
just my two cents.

He's a mentally ill person by the looks, cuz if he hasn't given up with you, there's a problem lol. Personally I'd watch his account close, look for his closest mobbies, and guilt by association. Tell the fellow mobbie that if he wants left be, that his friend needs to end his barage. I do it at times in such a situation. Just finished one of those yesterday. Just make sure they don't have a family, otherwise you're funked.

I should have added that it is not my main account. So it does not effect hunting, Perhaps it is really a question of whether I can "just let it go". The deaths are high on this account anyway

I am not sure if he is mentally ill, or very young. When it first occured he asked me what I would do if I was killed 7 times in a war and then the war ended without being able to get revenge. I answered, with honesty, that if it became a list and be listed battle that had no purpose I would either walk away or mob up. He replied.."well I need those 7 deaths bitch" lol

me personally, I would use all my level one accounts and list him 7 times from each account and tell him bring it on, but that wont be so easy unless you have high earning level one accounts. or use your lowest level accounts you have that can afford his cost without him being able to list you back.

It's even better if they have a family because than you can kill them often and the family, caring about stats and their fellow members, will work out something with you and order the person to stop. Seeing as he probably is at the whim of his family, as most sad mobsters are these days, he'll have to. :p

I have a few high income level 1s, and I tried using a low level account to list him. He just followed my comment trail to find an account he could list.

I'd have gotten bored with it a long time ago and stopped. Especially if I didn't care about dying.
Or maybe I'd respond passively and just increase the cost of my bounty so that he has to keep spending more and more each time till he either can't afford it, or he just won't like spending that much money.

lol. I forgot about that one. I actually did that one time with someone that kept attacking me for weeks. after hitlisting him he said he doesnt care how many times he dies he will keep attacking. So seeing that he didnt have any protection stamps I went to his myspce page that was not set to private and clicked on all his top friends and used their id numbers to find their mobster page and would hitlist them and post the results on his page. Everytime he would attack me I would kill his friends and post it on his page. I know they were his actual friends and not random because he was on their top friends list. Eventually he stopped his attacks but I kept listing him for a while, only killing his friends when he attacked. Try finding friends on his ms page if its not set to private.

There are almost limitless possibilities as to how you can handle this situation.
Most of the answers really depend on your mood.
Personally, I would keep killing him until I got bored (which sometimes doesn't take very long)
When my lower level alts get killed, I sometimes dont realize it for several days after the fact... some times I retaliate, just to have some fun and sometimes I just let it go.
However, it appears pretty obvious that he is not going to stop for fear of dying, so maybe just ignore him and let him get bored. If he gets zero reaction from you, he will probably get bored sooner rather than later.
but if you just want a single answer I say:
Kill him until he cries for his momma.... (or dont) :D

Oh yeah, I do get my fair share of "wierdos" in the game. Perhaps it is because I have a number of accounts, and perhaps it is the large of pre-puberty boys that play the game that hate to be beaten by a "mere girl" lol.

Let him get five or six deaths on you. He'll think he's just about to accomplish his goal, then slam him with as many deaths possible. It'll demotivate the shit out of him.
