Just wondering. Why is there a sequel to the Mobsters game, when we're not done with it yet? I liked Mobsters 1 the way it was. We were all kinda expecting new releases for that one. Not a more Mafia Wars-like version of the same game. I'm not bitching and I'm not whining about the game. I have enough sense not to play it if I don't want to. I'm just wondering how the Godfather is going to manage updating 2 games at once when many Mobsters players don't even like the new things in 1 game.

If you ask me? Mobsters 1 is going to be put on the back burner, which is probably what happened with the Privacy Update being delayed over a week.

Well after playing this till lvl 4, id have to say wow, er im deleting it from facebook not at all impressed. in fact ill dare say that if this was the original game it would never have gotten as popular as the original mobsters!
while some of the options are ok id say over all waste of coding!

i really hope that 98% of this new version DOES NOT carry over to the original !

ntm facebook is well it sucks plain and simple, they rip off your pics, and well lets say facebook, screwed the pooch 4 months ago. and not a whole lot of peeps trust, or use facebook, too much anymore. in fact i only use it to stay in contact with 6 peeps,, and on myspace i use it for well over 800.

the game is at best a platform for testing, and from what i seen i will put zero time or energy into it.

but in defence of the godfather id need to add people, to get it to open a bit but like i said from the bit i seen im rather disapointed! if not compleatly turned off!

o well most things progress but as the gf is about to fig out 90% of all games gen the original is allways better than any follow up !!!

however im sure the very people who never read the tutorals on the original mobsters app will be thrilled with this version. about as much as a retarded monkey on crack! anyone could play this with as much skill as a dead man!

Very true, but said company should do what they said they would...if the "owner" promises an upgrade at a certain date, then he should hold to that date, if not it just makes him look less reliable in the eyes of his customer...although he did redeem himself by saying it will take another week...he made himself look even less reliable by not keeping that promise also...it would have been more understanding if he had given us a reason why its being delayed so long, but as it sits it appears as though hes neglecting his customers by not giving us said update 2 weeks after the deadline...not giving us a reason why is being delayed...and not even replying to the thread after the second deadline has passed.

I dont hate the GF, in fact I pretty much praise and appreciate his efforts, although he does lack a little in the ethics department...thats whats turning everyone against him...perhaps if he came on and became a little more involved in the community people would see him more as a regular person like you and me instead of this "Godfather" alias he keeps playing, and maybe people would be a little more sympathetic.

I think the time spent on the new crap, shoulda been spent improving the original.

1- the missions screen load time is ridiculous!(same with the mobbies screen)
possible fix- load the areas separately.(bronx, downtown,jersey,OutofTown)

2- energy swapn should be put in the financial tab.(nothing else there any damn way)

3- Just a thought- The GodFather Visa! (Similar to a gas card) Put money on it and get GF points. example. 1 dollar for 1 GF point or 2 dollars or whatever.

Anyway. We're not complaining about the GF releasing new products. Complaining cause releasing new products while not being able to keep up with the original that everyone loves and is the reason the GF has a company in the first place!!!

less players will play it, and its new, apps do not have a sandbox to test in, thus faceboox is the sandbox... myspace also has mass adder sofweare and trains, too many players would get into the app before the bugs are worked out

The only issue, the godfather has attempted before, on one of his, caffeinated sprees. Turns out it creeps people out more than anything. I was glad to see it, but it was very wierd to begin with...

I've never played there, I can only speak of my experience with Playdom's facebook apps... I started with Bloodlines, and when I acheived all I could there I began to play Mobsters.

The problem with Mobsters is the game is too flipping easy, you amass vast fortunes daily and advance so many levels.

I'm enjoying Mobsters 2, it's the first time I've seen them actually work towards balancing a game... the fact that you're limited to 12 properties alone and can't let it sit for weeks to become an over-night billionaire is a milestone achievement.

If they can sort out the cheats and annoying glitches, this will be the game to play.

Obviously I'm refering to people who buy properties and then leave the game for weeks to come back to the massive build up of cash, and how m2 addresses this by limiting the amount of money a player can collect without a login.

Thats all part of the strategy in M1...removing that strategy in M2 just dulls the game though.

facebook is the test market for his new stuff because of the low user rate, if it flunks it wont hurt Playdom as much as if it had flunked on Myspace

Well The Godfather has so he wants to lie. And he has his reasons. But on M2 thoughts, I dont like or dislike the game. I just go on it to do missions and collect money, boring. Nothing else.

My goodness, can't we get along here?...lol...I was checking and M2 is down for maintainence today..., so I can't finish my last mission from last night...typical Mobsters all the same...whether it's 1 or 2. I actually like it somewhat, I would LOVE it if there was a full bounty list. :)

wow people arguing on the internet who woulda imagined that ;) i think mobsters is slowly going down the drain personally i mean he should just leave it too the original mobsters he added overdrive thinking he could get everyone to play both but frankly i believe less then half played it they got the car then deleted it then theres his facebook version still a small percentage and his iphone version if he made one that could be accessed on more then just the iphone maybe more people would play i for one am not getting an iphone just to play mobsters and then there is Mobsters 2 hes basically saying "lets forget Mobsters 1 and everything else Mobsters 2 is my new baby" dont get me wrong i play but rarely usually only after ive checked on my myspace accounts and my facebook account then ill go see mobsters 2 for a couple of minutes while my stats refill and i honestly think thats what most of us do there may be a few of us who actually play whole heartedly but honestly most of us dont have the time to actually have a life and play so many apps so we limit it to one full time app with maybe 1 or 2 others we play while stats are reloading i think mobsters 2 was a good idea it gives me something to do while i wait however i will not be playing it everyday all day

and i do not think the original post meant for this to be a hate thread simply a thread of thoughts on the game rather you like it or not you cant have someone hating on something without at least one person defending the game the original post even said he wasnt complaining or anything just curious and confused this is more of a "M1 or M2" thread then a hate thread or a drama thread no need to argue over rather someone likes the game or not rather they wanna defend the game or not
