View Full Version : My idea for attack rules ....

As it stands now, if someone attacks me, I lose x amount of health and so do they. If I lose less than they do, I "win" the battle. If they lose less than I do, they "win" the battle and take x amount of cash if I have any.
My proposal is this: only the loser loses health ... if I would currently lose 24 health and they'd lose 27, then they should only lose 3 but the winner takes the cash either way (if the loser has any available). This way, if a person gets hit listed, they can't be killed by 100 lvl 1 mobsters with crowbars who all attack at once. One would only lose to someone who is more powerful (thus those who spend the most money on GF points or spend their money/skill points wisely will collect the most bounties).
Yes, there is potential for abuse here (there is in every change just about) and a whole bunch of people like things the way they are ... but I'm tired of "winning the battle" but dying because my health has dropped to 0 due to being bombarded with people with crowbars.
Another thing I'd like to see is this: if a lvl 1 mobster attacks a lvl 400 mobster, certainly they'll lose ... but they should be put on a list somewhere for retaliation. Same deal with all the bounty hunters who think they should be untouchable because they are "just going for the bounty". To buy health costs money and it's annoying waiting for it to come for free. I should be able to take it out of their hide... especially if they one of those low lvl mobsters.

I forgot to add ... for those who think this would result in less hit listing .... I think it can result in more ... if a person on a higher level is allowed to attack people that are on the hitlist (similar to attacking people who are in the hospital if they have been hitlisted). This would encourage people to level up instead of languishing at lower levels where they are basically untouchable.
This would also give those over lvl 400 who have complained that there is nothing else to do ... give them something to do. They can be the new bounty hunters.

your idea is kinda good but the point of the h/l is to eventually die if a level 1 is lucky enough to catch ur bounty good for them you shouldnt take it out on them u should take it out on the person who h/l u and being attacked but not losing health? imagine this ur in a real mob and u fight someone u "win" because u caused more damage but u walk away without a scratch? that doesnt make sense and the er charge shouldnt be a big deal i mean at the rate it goes up as long as ur income is anywhere near decent u should be able to afford it without it being a big deal i mean with the annihilator most people dont lose as long as they attack so they can waste 50 stam on the attack list win every one and not lose any health? that doesnt make much sense sorry but ur ideas are going in the right direction :D kinda :/

The point wasn't that the hospital charge is prohibitively high ... it was that it costs me some money. If a lvl 1 mobster attacks me, they can win and collect the bounty. All I can do is punch them in the face. Personally, I go after the person who put the bounty out there and the one who collects it. It makes things much more interesting for me ... but that's another story.
My point was that changing the system so that only stronger people can do damage and thus collect bounties would be incentive enough (IMO) for people to level up instead of starting new accounts every day to languish at lvl 1 until they have a $5 bil bounty built up. This way, they can have that $5 bil bounty if they want it ... they aren't going to collect a single bounty (especially with no weapons) until and unless they actually play the game.
In most games, the object is to level up quickly. In this game, the object is to level up as slowly as possible and have as many accounts as you can manage to send yourself energy and distract would be assassins from your main account. All I suggest is make it better for the people who play the game and not for people who start new accounts and walk away for a month (or year). There should be no "luck" in catching a bounty. It should require some skill (and not just seeing it on the screen and clicking the attack button ... one should have to build an arsenal and some kind of family).

What my idea also does is allow for anyone to attack anyone else (more attacking). Low level mobsters won't want to attack high level mobsters because they probably won't win, won't cause any damage, can't collect any money and no bounty hunting, either. Higher level mobsters won't want to attack those at a much lower level because there will be more money available for attacking higher level ones.
When those mobsters get tired of being attacked and losing to higher level mobsters, it just may inspire them to get off their butts and buy some territory, equipment and maybe even favor points for more powerful weaponry.
nah don't like the idea at all. why fix whats not broken. and one thing off topic a bit, is i never understood why people go after the person who collects the bounty, why not go for the person who put the hit out. but i like the fight system the way it is. plus ur idea has to much of a chance of abuse and to just screw things up. but in my opinion like i said i am happy with the fight system as it is. but ty for offering new ideas.

Funny that you say you attack who you like when you like ... screw my rules. If my rules were implemented, you'd be able to attack anyone of any level. As of now, you only attack people as low as one level below you (unless it's a retaliation) and everyone else. With my rules, you'd be able to attack a lvl 1 mobster from lvl 900 if you wanted.

For me, the fight system is broken ... this game gives me the impression that it's about fighting and weapons and things ... but really, it's about who can wait the longest before getting into it and who can level up the slowest while collecting bounties and properties along the way.
As for attacking the bounty hunter ... an attack is an attack. It doesn't matter if there is a hit out on me or not. I go after the person who put a hit out on me, too. No one is immune ... unless they are a lvl 1 person trying to collect my bounty so I'm not allowed to retaliate ... which is a big bag of suck if you ask me. If they attack, I should be allowed to attack back ... even if there *was* a hit out on me.
