I read somewhere that you do more damage if you have higher HP. Is this true? Trying to figure out this thing so i can do bounties more easily ><

Well it has to do with how many attack points you have and your equitment.

Ah.. So it has nothing to do with your hp like someone else said :/?

In some games damage done seems to be calculated as a percentage of either the attacker's HP or both players' HP. In those games, you can lose a fight while dealing more damage than you take, and vice versa. It looks like Mobsters 2 works on a simple 29-30 total damage scale.

Personally, I'm more interested in how the attack system works exactly - particularly the effect of attack and defense points, and the element of luck.

I can agree because I have experienced the same things as what he is talking about.

TO win a fight I just try to have attack/defence on my side.
I win just about all my fights.
Evey once in awhile somebody that I should win over with no problem will beat me.

Idk.

Does GF want to explain? (;

You might want to check the Mobsters 1 forums...there is a thread on how fighting works there...as far as HP, I think part of it has to do with the lowest HP of the fighters. If you both have higher HP the damage is higher...if one person has say 100 HP then the damage limit is lower.

That would be a good idea, but from what I have heard, Mob 1 is alot different.
Idk. I nevered played it.

I BELIEVE this will be the case in M2, too. I have 200 HP (thanks to two pizza parlors) but still rarely give/take more than 20 damage in a fight!

HP, an RPG abbreviation for "Health Point(s)". It essentially means your health.

Hmmm.. Thanks for all the info guys! so from what i gather it does have something to do with HP, but unless my enemy has higher HP, i wont ever be able to do higher damage. Hmmm. Damn. So when people collect bounties, do most of you do around 18-28 damage then?

Just want to know because sometimes i hit 5-6 times and i lose the bounty to someone else. Might just be bad luck i guess.

I'm not to sure about bounties, but yeah with getting alot of damage to the other player all I really do is try to rack up on equitment with high attack/defence power and same with points. I only have 33 mob members and 0 hired guys. I try to attack people with equal or below mob members and i'll win alomost everytime.

The person I was attacking apparently had high HP. Coupled with the HP I have (550), I was dealing around 45-48 damage, while he took around 60-63 damage. Total, I took around 180 health from him, while I sustained around 135 damage.

So yeah, the lowest HP of the two fighters determines how much damage can be done in a fight.

An easy way to tell what effects damage dealt is to save your skillpoints then add one point at a time to various stats. I have noticed the total between the amount of damage taken plus the amount of damage dealt remains the same. for instance I dealt 28 damage and was dealt 8 damage on one hit for a total of 36 . The next hit and the next and the next all equaled 36. So I guess I will try this and see what happens but like Shammy said it may have NO effect if the other guy has lower HP's than me????

Initially the total combined damage was 50 I raised my health 1 point and the total went to 53 then I added 1 more point into health It went to 56....then 59. Although as i started raising this stat my damage taken increased more(as would be expected as the total amount of damage being split increased) rapidly than the damage I dealt and I ended up losing the fight once.
For what it is worth
