How comes on lower levels some people have unknown when u attack them

ive seen it many times, but do not understand what it means, could someone clarify to me what they mean by unknown

well you know when you go to the attack list,
it says either wins often, wins some, breaking even, loses some, loses often
but what i don't understand is when it says unknown in the right record area

it means they are under the ammount that would qualify them for wins some and over amount that would qualify as lose some
