$10.00 = 30 Favor/Brownie Points


Updated Playdom Game Card values:
$25.00 = 100 Favor/Brownie Points
$10.00 = 40 Favor/Brownie Points

Playdom is determined to create the best user experience possible in our games and services, and acknowledge that the original game card values were not in line with current favor point rates when using a credit card. To ensure player satisfaction, the Godfather and House Mom will be awarding those users that have already purchased and redeemed game cards with the remaining favor/brownie points. you'll notice Favor Points cost around 23 Cents per favor point. At 100 Favor points that is only $23.

Now when you buy bigger amounts of favor points, it is suppose to be cheaper (just like everything else you buy in bulk in life) so Technically 100 Favor Points should be about $22.

I think for $25, a more appropriate amount of favor points should be like 115-112.Even I would consider a game card then..lol

You got to consider, people will be going out of their way to get these in person which requires more time and even gas, not to mention if you live in a big city the traffic and if they can get a better value per favor point like the in-game has right now, then they won't even consider getting a game card.

In most Targets, however I would call ahead or plan a trip if you need to pick up other things. Availability is probably not at 100% of their retail outlets right now.

Well for me it's not worth the trouble to go and get one of these things. The closest Target is a good 30 to 40 miles away, and there are No 7/11's in my state. Why not Wal-Mart, I have 9 of them closer than the nearest Target? Do ya know when Walgreens will have them. I do have one of them closer than 30 miles. Only 15 miles away!!:D

Comparing the PayPal offer price to the CC offer price from Playdom and the Game Cards is like comparing Apples, Hand Grenades and Bananas.

Let me explane.

The BASE cost at the lower end of purchasing favors is ALMOST 25 cents each. Listing the $.24 with the decimal point and all the numbers would be pointless. Just know it is not EXACTLY 25 cents and never has been. When bought in blulk, Playdom offers the favors at a reduced price. I have always considered this the THANK you for paying a large part of one of our paychecks for a week. Have some free electronic money to buy non existant merchandise with.

Now if you want to go there, Let's say tht Playdom offered a $50 card that was worth 200 favors. Good Deal? No, because it should be either 225 favors or 233 favors for $50. This is determined by simply dividing 3 into 700 and you get the sum of 233.333 favors. Since you can not ofer a third of a favor, you have to round it down.

I agree with what some of the others have said. You already offer them cheaper on the site, why not make it the same bargain or better? From a marketing standpoint, I would think you would want more people buying these cards at the store then online. Maybe somebody who doesn't know about Playdom sees you picking the card up and ask you what it is and decides they want to give it a try also. This happens a lot around Christmas time with parents and grandparents looking for gifts. Also the more cards get sold, the more the person at the register is going to learn about what the cards do, and the more they can tell the next customer who ask what those cards are for. It just seems to make better business sense. And it doesn't cost you any more to add extra FP.
