I was in National Guard for 4 years and active duty for 3 years. I had a great time in Germany. I did my basic and AIT at Ft. Hood so that hit home last week. My tid bit of military history, I was just finishing Basic when the incident happened in the Philippines. The first Female commander was part of that conflict.
My Grandfather was in the 81st during WWII, Uncle was in the Corp, had a Cousin that retired from the Corp at 38, she is living outside of Pendleton. Have another cousin that was booted out of the Corp because he punched an MP. He was off duty at a Concert and the MP grabbed his broken arm, it was in a cast, and he reacted . . . lol |

Thank you for this post!
Me: 10 years Army! Husband: 17 years Army, 3 of those currently on active duty! We love the outpouring of patriotism and recognition on these posts. These online games actually provide a healthy outlet that helps pass the time when we are apart and brings us together as he plays abroad. My daddy was also in the Korean War! Thank you to all of the men and women, their families and volunteers (shout out to the USO!!) that give and sacrifice so much!
