I tried it like the video suggested, and I didn't find any upgrade button at all. My first four pistol shooters were just that. Where the heck were the upgrade buttons at? And I hit the next wave repeatedly like the guy said. Yeah they blew thorough four pistols like it was a bug hitting the windshield!

Here's a screenshot of Four-Fingers' method. Seems to work pretty well. All it requires is 2 snipers, so it's probably one of the simplest methods you'll see (there's a few out there that use 2 snipers and a stop sign, but you don't need a stop sign with this one)...
 All you do is put a Thug at the first inside corner as shown, upgrade it to a sniper before the first wave shows up, then click the Next Wave button to release all the waves, then place another Thug at the next inside corner and upgrade him right away. It'll be a couple more waves till you can afford to get him up to Sniper, so watch for the Upgrade button to light up so you can do it as soon as it's available. You may not kill everything as fast as some of the other ways (the bikes might look like they'll get away at one point, but they won't) but this method requires the least amount of clicking and is pretty efficient. Having to do so little made it a bit more tolerable in getting to Platinum. Last edited by Doofy McFunkmonkey; 11-13-2009 at 02:25 PM.

Is it normal in the Chinatown minigame that the first set of vehicles to come lightning fast or is it just me ? I know I need a road crew but should ti be the first thing to be placed on this mission ?

oh shat. i got all of the ones down easy except for destroy a transfer in chinatown, that one is hard as #%)(*)#%^_)#(*^)#()(#*%_ and ive wasted like 10 favors on it already lol. anyone got any tips? what i used to do is put up to 5 of those pistol guys, upgrade 4 once, and the last guy twice (since super range i put him in the middle of the field to take advantage of it) and its worked for every one except destroy a transfer, in which i can kill everyone cept the boss. anyone beat this before?

Destroy a Transfer - Chinatown
Two things to know first... you need some favor points and the vehicles in this game come VERY fast, so be ready! First, add 3 machine guns quickly and upgrade them each TWICE. Then click "Next Wave" until you can't click anymore.[/b].  Second, add a stop sign here and upgade him TWICE.  Third, add another machine gun here and upgrade him TWICE when you get he money.  Fourth, add another machine gun here and upgrade him ONCE when you get he money.  Fifth, add three more machine guns here and upgrade them each ONCE when you get he money.  Six, this is what the final layout should look like:  Seven, this is the highest score I've ever got:  The Loot
